Born as a variant of the men's tailcoat, two centuries have passed since the women's coat was officially presented in a fashion magazine. The very first coat, created exclusively for women, was conceived entirely in silk and with a light fur padding. The watchword: coats to protect oneself from the very low temperatures in the cold moorlands of France.
